Crafted from 100% European linen, our Orkney sheets are designed to envelop you in the comforting weight and heft of traditional linen as you sleep. Softening to a perfect balance with each use and washing, they echo the timeless qualities of old-world linen. Each set is crafted for enduring value, featuring a fitted sheet with firm elastic for secure placement and a generously sized flat sheet with deep 5” top hems. The classic European-style deep tuck at the end of the pillowcase ensures the insert remains out of sight, offering versatility for use on either side of the pillow. Drift into a deep, sweet sleep as you rest your head on the time-honored texture of handspun linen in these pillowcases.
Our Orkney Sheet Set comes with a flat sheet, a fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. Cal king and king sets come with 2 king pillowcases, queen sets come with two queen pillowcases, full sets come with two standard pillowcases, and twin sets have one standard pillowcase. If you need a different size pillowcase in your set, please include it in the notes section when placing your order.

Sizing Notes: Standard Fitted Sheets: 14" deep (recommended for mattresses up to 12" deep)
Deep Fitted Sheets: 19" deep (recommended for mattresses up to 17" deep)
Care:
Machine wash with a small amount of gentle detergent, not Tide. Tumble dry on hot or medium, and remove from the dryer while still very slightly damp so wrinkles do not set. Shake the fabric out flat and smooth it with your hands. If you can dry outside, let fresh air and sun work their magic.

Though I initially bought the smooth linen set, thinking the Orkney would be too warm for San Diego’s inland climate, I ended up succumbing to temptation and later, ordered the Eucalyptus Orkney set. Unbelievably I prefer the Orkney. For some strange reason I feel more nested ans comfortable in them, and they breathe incredibly well, pleasing even my warm-sleeping husband. As a bonus, they wash and dry better than the smooth; their weight and the extra hem at the top of the flat sheet guarantee a smooth result from the dryer. They always come out beautifully. Bottom line — We sleep better in these sheets than any other linen or cotton sheets we’ve ever had. Quite something…
