We love sturdy linen towels because they dry quickly and rarely smell musty, since linen is inherently antimicrobial.
If you prefer soft, fluffy towels, stay away from linen. The crisp ‘hand’ of these Orkney linen towels is bracing and invigorating Your skin will feel clean, polished and wide awake. An acquired taste, but I have had so many requests from customers, here it is!
We present the big, big, bath sheet; generously sized to make a cozy cocoon or a modest sarong from armpit to knee.
Size:
Measures 38" x 70" with a 2" hem all around, mitered corners, and a 4" loop to hang it by.
Care:
Machine wash with a small amount of gentle detergent, not Tide. Tumble dry on hot or medium, and remove from the dryer while still very slightly damp so wrinkles do not set. Shake the fabric out flat and smooth it with your hands. If you can dry outside, let fresh air and sun work their magic.
Material: Woven from 100% European Flax. Heavyweight Orkney 7.7oz/sq.yd

If you expect them to be as absorbent and soft as terry cloth, you will be disappointed. These will be rough and may take two to three strokes to remove the moisture from an arm, for example. But, while you're wiping your arm those times, you will be mildly exfoliating, which I love. And they dry quickly. I love that too. They've been excellent in these increasingly hot summers. One still has to spread them out when they're hung up to dry. Wet linen crumpled in a ball will still have wet spots after a day. Spread them out to air dry, and it won't take long at all for them to dry. With two workouts and work I needed 3 showers yesterday, and my towel was dry before all 3 showers. I own 2. I'm considering a couple more.
I have so many different colors of linen from RL but the forest and the fig are my favorite. I would never go back to traditional towels. These are my favorite.
I love it but wish it had a loop for hanging like on the towel I ordered a couple of years ago.
I’m a huge fan of linen for all of my household needs now. I’ll never go back to cotton towels.
Love the bath sheet. I'm a big woman and It is really wonderfully big.
